9:00-
Welcome:
Open
our doors and say “Hello!”
9:10-
9:30 Free Choice time
This
is a time when the children are able to create, socialize, play
with blocks, dramatic play, read books.
9:30-
Clean-up time
The
children learn to pick-up after themselves and help others in
the task.
9:45-10:15-
Group time
Teacher
introduces weekly/daily theme, calendar/weather discussion,
and teach colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, read stories,
sing songs. We might have “show-n-tell” with items that pertain
to our theme.
10:15-10:45-
Project time
Work
on craft project/art activity, cooking, science.
10:45-11:00-
Wash Hands and eat snack
We
learn to say the table prayer together, pass out napkins, cups,
snack etc. taste new foods, use good table manners, and clean
up after ourselves.
11:00-11:30-
Large muscle motor activities.
We
may play outside, or do activities indoors.
(The
children will work on dressing themselves when we go outside)
11:30-12:00-
Circle time/ small groups
Stories,
Bible stories, songs/music, finish any projects that need to
be done, hands-on-activities related to math and/or reading
and writing readiness. The children may also have free choice
options including: blocks, playhouse, puzzles, painting, and
play dough. (Whatever is available that day)
12:00-
Clean up our room, and wash for lunch.
12:20-
Clean up our lunch and get ready to go home.
12:30-
Pick up time
We
sing our “good-bye” and visit with the parents.
This
is a tentative daily schedule; it depends on the children and
everything that is planned for each day.
